The wedding that almost went up in flames… literally. After over a year of planning, just 24 hours before their big day Chas and Rebecca’s wedding venue was evacuated due to wildfires in the Agoura area. As you can imagine relocating an entire wedding in less than 24 hours seemed like a near impossible task, especially considering a huge portion of the vendors (rentals, dancefloor, lighting, catering, etc.) all came with their previous venue BUT with an amazing team of people rallying behind this deserving couple we managed to pull it off! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen especially Dovecote Vineyard for opening up their doors on such short notice and welcoming nearly 200 people with open arms. I have known Rebecca’s family since middle school and I was so thrilled being given the opportunity to capture her and her (now) husband on their wedding day. She was an absolutely jaw dropping bride and handled her situation with such grace and ease.. watching her beaming face walk down the aisle it looked as though all had gone off as planned from the beginning. Sadly, Rebecca tragically lost her youngest sister just a few short years ago and one of the most touching things about her wedding day were the elements of remembrance woven into the tiny details. From the silly socks, sunflowers, #smileforjenn bracelets and charms adorning her bouquet … all were reflections of the love she has for her sister and testaments that she will continue to carry her along with her throughout all the biggest milestones of her life. I have no doubt Jenn was shining down upon us all that day, smiling down from heaven. Congratulations again, Chas and Rebecca! Yours was a wedding I will truly always remember!
